Social Media and Marketing Manager

We are looking for Social Media and Marketing Manager add to our growing team.

This full-time position is a team of one working alongside our Graphic Designer reporting directly to President.  Responsibilities include:

  •  Develop and execute a social media strategy including implementing a content calendar by working closely with the brewing team
  • Write, record, and create content for all social media channels by working closely with the multiple departments to understand the relevant content
  • Photograph still images and work with Graphic Designer on Adobe Photoshop to create interesting and engaging photographs for our social pages as well as our websites
  • Interact daily with our customers on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter answering comments and inquiries
  • Identify ways to promote brands in line with the Kane brand strategy and execute on those plans
  • Perform basic website maintenance as well as create and update content across all Kane websites
  • Write and deploy monthly employee and customer facing e-mail newsletter
  • Keep brand consistency top of mind, understand the competitive landscape and be able to identify areas of opportunity
  • Assist with the creative process including labels, POS materials and sell sheets
  • Manage relationships with printers, digital partners and agencies
  • Keep close attention on all projects and assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
  • Define, track and report on all relevant KPIs

Requirements:

  • BS or BA required, concentration in Marketing, Communications or related Digital Media field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Social Media or Marketing role in a small to mid-sized company
  • Knowledge of craft beer and the craft beer market preferred

Brand Manager

We are looking for full-time Brand Manager to add to our growing team.

The Brand Manager is responsible for wholesale draft (on-premise) and retail packaged sales (off-premise) in his or her assigned territory within New Jersey. This includes the acquisition of new accounts and the maintenance of existing accounts through relationship building with a focus on increasing draft presence and premium shelf space to drive sales. In addition, this person will be soliciting orders, assigning them to the correct distribution geography and entering them into the system for processing and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Professionally represent Kane at all off- and on-premise accounts and prospective new accounts
  • Develop short and long term Territory Action Plans (from weekly routing to quarterly/yearly progress tracking)
  • Present weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports to Director of Sales and President during sale team meetings
  • Daily correspondence with relevant customers to update them on availability and solicit orders
  • Accurate order entry into the system by the order deadline
  • Periodic in-person visits to existing customers to cultivate relationships
  • Field new account inquires
  • Proactively scout appropriate prospective new accounts in assigned territories
  • Identify opportunities to grow volume within existing accounts
  • Manage inventory in coordination with the Director of Sales and allocate kegs where necessary
  • Work with the Director of Sales to monitor growth among specific customers and territory-wide
  • Attend and represent Kane Brewing at festivals and events
  • Work with Accounting Department to manage accounts receivable and timely payments from customers
  • Manage off-premise accounts to maintain placements and proper product rotation to maintain freshness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Sales role is required
  • Brand Representative or Distributor Sales Representative experience ideal
  • Experience working in craft brewery sales
  • Knowledge and understanding of craft beer market, industry, and trends
  • Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions

Retail Manager

We are looking for a Retail Manager to add to our growing team. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Director of Retail Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a 10-15 person tasting room staff, training them on beer knowledge, pouring and fill methods and planning out schedules months in advance.
  • Prepare tasting room and staff for beer releases and on-site events ensuring staffing levels are adequate, tasting room is set up correctly and merchandise is fully stocked.
  • Oversee the set-up of the tasting room for retail operations each week by fully stocking merchandise and ‘beer to-go’ cooler, displaying merchandise in a clean organized fashion keeping guest experience top of mind.
  • Maintain draft system ensuring lines are clean and taps are leak free.
  • Maintain retail POS systems, update menu boards and ensuring website merchandise availability is up to date.
  • Track sales volume information and create reports for management incorporating trends and insights.
  • Respond to all inquiries both email and voicemail regarding the tasting room or retail operation.
  • Maintain the inventory and order all tasting room supplies, including but not limited to flight cards, tour sheets, cleaning room supplies, etc.
  • Track and manage physical inventory of all merchandise receiving in new orders and/or items to ensure quantity, quality and items are correct.
  • Maintain and update the online store as well as process incoming orders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required
  • Cicerone Certification is preferred
  • TIPS certification required within 30 days of hire

Cellar Person

We are looking for a full-time Cellar Person to add to our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • CIP/SIP of all brewery vessels
  • Wort and beer transfer
  • Yeast harvest, pitching and health management
  • Fermentation monitoring
  • Manual cleaning of brewery equipment and parts
  • Assist brewers with wort-creation and brewhouse operation
  • Assist with packaging; including canning and bottling, keg filling & cleaning
  • Operating the centrifuge
  • Strict adherence to sanitary and record-keeping standards
  • Basic facilities maintenance
  • Basic brewery equipment maintenance

Qualifications:

  • A degree from a professional brewing education program or related field is preferred
  • At least six months of previous experience working in a brewery with an understanding of the physical requirements of this type of position
  • Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions

Packaging Operator

We are looking for a full-time Packaging Operator to add to the team due to increased production of cans.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in canning utilizing the Wild Goose canning line and bottling on the Meheen bottling line
  • Work with all packaging processes including kegs, bottling and canning
  • Properly clean and fill kegs
  • Ensure all packaging activity is done according to its SOP regarding yield, bottle and can fill-height, dissolved oxygen levels, and crowning and seaming standards and material loss
  • Build and pack cased for cans and bottles
  • Maintain proper packaging records and logs
  • Maintain cleanliness of all packaging equipment
  • Ensure regular maintenance of packaging equipment

  • A degree from a professional brewing education program or related field is preferred
