Cellar Person

We are looking to add a full time Cellar Person to add to our team.

Responsibilities:

  • CIP/SIP of all brewery vessels
  • Wort and beer transfer
  • Yeast harvest, pitching and health management
  • Fermentation monitoring
  • Manual cleaning of brewery equipment and parts
  • Assist brewers with wort-creation and brew house operation
  • Assist with packaging; including canning and bottling, keg filling & cleaning
  • Operating the centrifuge
  • Strict adherence to sanitary and record-keeping standards
  • Basic facilities maintenance
  • Basic brewery equipment maintenance

Qualifications:

  • A degree from a professional brewing education program or related field is preferred
  • At least six months previous experience working in a brewery with an understanding of the physical requirements of this type of position
  • Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions

Successful candidates will also possess:

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Close attention to details
  • Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
  • Communicate efficiently with team and customers
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Must be able to:

  • Lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally
  • Stand for 8-10 hours per day
  • Operate a forklift and complex machinery
  • Work in a non-temperature controlled environment, handling of hazardous materials

Packaging Operator

We are looking for a full time Packaging Operator to add to our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all packaging activity is done according to its SOP.
  • Properly clean and fill kegs.
  • Assist in canning utilizing the Wild Goose canning line and bottling on the Meheen bottling line.
  • Build and pack cased for cans and bottles.
  • Maintain proper packaging records and logs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all packaging equipment,

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production/packaging brewery preferred
  • A degree from a professional brewing education program or related field is preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions

Production Assistant

We are looking for a Production Assistant to add to our growing team.  This full-time position reports directly to the Quality Manager.  The Production Assistant will spend the majority of their time cleaning the production facilities, maintaining an orderly and organized warehouse floor and operating both a pallet jack and forklift. This is a physically demanding position that will be central to the smooth functioning of the production department. Secondary functions of the Production Assistant will be to assist on packaging runs for both Kane and Field & Oak brands.

 Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning
    • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain clean and safe production environment
    • Hosing, sweeping, mopping, pressure washing and scrubbing all production common areas to maintain sanitary working environment
      • Main production area, tasting room floor as used by production during week, Kane barrel room, Field & Oak barrel room, cellar 2 & 3 aisleway, mill room
    • Cleaning of equipment including tank exteriors, keg washer exterior,
    • Safe chemical handling and maintenance of clean chemical area
  • Warehousing
    • Safe forklift and pallet jack operation
    • Organization of production spaces, facilitating all functions of production, including:
      • Moving and organizing of empty kegs between warehouses
      • Emptying and cleaning of grain totes into disposal trucks
      • Retrieving materials necessary for production
      • Weekly barrel checks for leaks and loose bungs
    • Inventorying as needed, including:
      • Brewhouse ingredient levels
      • Barrel inventory
    • Daily monitoring of tank temperatures, pressures
  • Sensory Assistance
    • Sample pulling and preparation for:
      • Daily go / no-go sensory meeting
      • Weekly packaged beer sensory
      • Barrel blending
    • Packaging
      • As needed, assist in off-packing duties on 4-head Wild Goose canning line, 4- and 6-head Meheen bottling lines and 6-head gravity fill bottling line

Home Delivery Associate

We are looking for a part time Home Delivery Associate to add to our growing team.  The Home Delivery Associate is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of packaged beer to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Load the vehicle each day according to the orders assigned to your route, and double check for accuracy to ensure correct delivery and maximum efficiency.
  • Continued communication with supervisor to make aware of any impending or ongoing issues with customers.
  • Operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
  • Accurate and up to date mileage log as well as gas and other expenditures.
  • Available to work afternoons, evenings and weekends (as needed).

Inventory Receiving Associate

We are looking for a full time Inventory Receiving Associate to add to our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Receipt of all goods into the brewery, confirm all items and quantities correctly correspond to the packing slip upon acceptance.
  • Ensure all received packing slips are given to the Accounting Department to be processed and paid.
  • Responsible for organization and warehousing of all incoming materials received.
  • Responsible for weekly inventory counts of all raw materials and monthly inventory counts of packaging materials.
  • Ensure warehouse is always clean and organized.
  • Manage the transfer of inventory between warehouses.

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A valid Driver’s License and be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
